The Aquarium with the Jakobs

I wasn't sure if we would get to see Jen and her family again, but I hoped we would.  She suggested a trip to the Aquarium and the girls were all over it and Monday was the day!  Ken took the day and off we went.  We met up at Wilson subway station - Jen the boys, Ken and I and the girls.  Eric was meeting up with some former clients.  The kids always love riding on the subway.

After getting off the subway we got lunch at Subway sandwich and ate on a bench by Roundhouse park.  Alice nearly had meltdown, but everyone - including myself calmed down after eating!

The Aquarium was packed.  The where places where it thinned out a bit, but generally it was wall to wall people.  We all enjoyed it though and mostly stayed together.  Watching Jen's boys with my girls is such a delight.  They are such sweet boys and they just want to help their cousins and play with them.

Alice had another melt down - this one a little more fun - at the water table.  Another kid "stole" her water boat.  There were a lot of kids.  While Alice was melting down again and Fiona needed to sleep I found a corner near the Rays and sat against the wall to nurse.  And wouldn't you know, it was time for the Ray Show.  It was a cute little show - a diver came into the tank - I couldn't really see it, but judging by the kids reactions it was great.  After that we were pretty much at the end of the Aquarium.

We walked through the Sky Walk back to Union, took the subway back to Wilson and met Eric.  It was pouring rain so we hopped in the cars and drove to a Vietnamese place at Keele and Wilson for Pho.  After a yummy dinner we wandered over to Value Village.  Jen wanted to find some more dinner plates and books.  It was cute, it turned into a reading party.

And then it was time to say goodbye.  They're talking about coming back next fall. So Jakob family, see you online!  We love you!
