Just to be forthright, this is Ken posting on behalf of Wendy, who is presently indisposed.
Yesterday as I was making my way to work through some less than ideal driving conditions, I received a call from Wendy informing me that her water had broke, and that it would be a good idea for me to return. I did. Usually labour begins well before any water is breaking, so we knew that something was amiss. We finished packing up all the necessary items, and made for the hospital. Wendy was shortly thereafter put on Oxytocin (sp?) to induce labour. It worked, and after a while it was time for the epidural. Once the Inducing resumed, the baby gave us all a scare, and her heart rate dropped a bit. At this point I was sleeping in a chair in the room, and awakened to realise that there were a lot more people in the room than when I drifted off. Needless to say, I was concerned. The inducing was halted and baby was happy again. After some time, they started to induce again to similar results, so Wendy had to have a C-Section. I'm posting a few pictures here.

In order : Wendy Ken and Kate in the Operating / Delivery Room, Wendy and Kate, Kate's first time wearing clothing, and finally me trying to pose Kate for a photo in the window. Wendy is doing fine, although will be a while recovering. Kate is as happy and healthy as can be. We're both very happy and thankful that it turned out so well in the end. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, and keep em coming we're gonna need it in the weeks to come... sigh.
Ken.
