Can't Seem to Get Enough of the Zoo

I can't say enough about the Toronto Zoo.  I love it!  One of the things I love about it is that you can go two weekends in a row, spend several hours on both visits and not see the same things!  Another thing I love, you can take a one year old and an eight year old and they can both have a great time.

A posting frenzy...

Today's blogging frenzy began with "A child, a cat and a bird", dated April 21st and ends with this one.  I'm now caught up!  However, tomorrow we will go back to living our lives and Kate is bound to do something cute...

The Zoo, again.

I am so glad that we bought a pass to the zoo.  It is such a fun family outing to go to the zoo.  Kate loves to see all the animals, and of course Ken and I love watching her reactions to the animals.  We had a lovely day today.  We're totally exhausted from all the walking and driving, but hey it was worth it!

Music

I love that Kate loves music.  I love that I have a husband that loves music. 

Sixteenth Months Old.

Nicole and Matthias

There is a time and a season right?  It is funny to me that my three closest friends from high school and I all had babies around the same time.  The first was Matthias - born May 2008, then Cooper - born Sept 2008, then Kate - born Jan 2009 and finally Ciaran - born May 2009.  Nicole was such a sweet friend to me in high school.  We met in a French class in grade nine, or maybe it was math... I don't remember.  We had a number of things in common - a love of music, kraft cheese, similar belief systems and we were both very innocent.  We would go hang out at the Science Centre on a Friday night - we were that cool.  Even though Nicole lives in Vancouver and I hardly ever see her, she's one of those friends that you just pick up where you left off. 

I'm so glad that she made the time to come spend a day in Tottenham while in Toronto visiting her Mom.  It's definitely different trying to catch up with kiddies, especially when one of them loses her mind every two seconds because Matthias dares to touch one of her books or toys... EEK!  And it would have been nice if the weather was more cooperative.  BUT, I did have a lovely time watching my sweet friend be such a sweet Mom.  Matthias is such a lovely little guy.  Come and visit us again soon please!
