Farm Day - Everdale Holsteins

I'd been driving past the sign every day for a month "Farm Open House".  When the girls saw the enormous inflatable cow, the excitement was tangible.  I wasn't sure what to expect.  I'd never been to a farm open house before.  I've been to farms to play, where they are set up to play, but this is a real, working dairy farm.

The weather was iffy - we weren't sure if we were going to get rained on or not, and it was quite cool, almost cold - I was cold in a t-shirt, but other than that, the rain held off and it was great.  The girls immediately went for the bouncy castle, then there was face painting, then the "learning" tent,  then a tour of the barn, a milking demonstration, and best of all, free lunch!  We were all given a hot dog, a milk beverage, and an ice cream treat.  Farm day was as awesome as the gigantic inflatable cow had promised it to be!

Kate's Last Day

SK is done.  Not only is Kate finished SK, she's also finished being a student at Tottenham Public School.  Next year she's off to Alliston Union Public School and the French Immersion Program.

She's really grown and matured so much this year.  Well done Kate!  We're so proud of you!

Kate's Kindergarten Graduation

It was by all accounts a lovely Kindergarten tea that happened to be more like a little graduation than I knew.  I didn't attend this year, I was at work of course.  Ken didn't attend last year, he was at work of course.  I don't feel heart broken, maybe a little sad.  I'm glad Ken could go, and I'm so grateful that Kate had a great year!
Kate with her teachers, Mrs. Nicholl, and Ms. Gertzbein.

Kate and her friend Macayla - they're both going to Alliston Union in September for French Immersion.

Father's Day Part II

I wasn't going to publish these, but then I couldn't resist.  Taking pictures of three little girls is getting more, and more interesting!

Father's Day

I have only ever felt unconditional love from my father.  He was at his happiest today, surrounded by his loved ones.  Andrew, Rayna, Ken, Me, Kate, Alice, Fiona and of course Mom.  I brought him a card, and Andrew brought him a card and chocolate, and he was over the moon.

Ken.  My sweet Ken.  These past five weeks have been a little crazy.  He has been very burdened - too much work and not nearly enough time.  We've both been on edge here and there, but overall our home is still happy, our girls are happy.  We have lots of fun with our girls.  Ken has lots of fun with his girls.  I found this quote: A daughter needs a Dad to be the standard against which she will judge all men.  Ken is an amazing father and husband.  He blesses our lives every day.  I pray that each of my girls finds her Ken!

Zoo Day

We love the zoo!  And we love the zoo even more with friends.  We had a fun time at the zoo with the Lim-Anderson's and the Elliots.

After the fun at the zoo we went back to Emily and Jinx's (Jonathan and Janelle weren't able to come) and had a BBQ and fun.  It was a really great day with friends!
