Gratitude

I'm grateful for teachers at church that work so hard to prepare beautiful lessons so that the spirit can touch us and we can learn things and make our lives better.  That happened for me today.  The Relief Society teacher prepared a beautiful lesson and in doing so gave me the opportunity to learn some things about myself that I really needed to learn.  I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to go to church every Sunday.

Big Girl!

She's looking older.  At night when I'm tired and I let myself give into sadness I look at Kate and think that I'm missing it... she's getting so big so fast and I only get to see her for four hours a day.  I try not to let myself go there.  Most days it's easy and I can be positive and happy - it's especially easy if I'm not over tired!

Last night when Ken got home -after we ate pizza, we all went outside and "played" in the snow.  Kate kept trying to eat the snow, so cute!

She definitely looks older when she sits in a seat in the car and not in her car seat.

She looks older when she stands up wearing her big girl shoes playing with my cell phone.

And she definitely looks like a big girl when she sleeps in her big girl bed.

Thankfully I've got a whole lot of little Kate time left - she's only one! 

Now that's a shovel!

It's been nice, we haven't had much snow.  As of yesterday that all changed!  EEK!  Ken finally had an excuse to get himself a new shovel... a real shovel!

Kate did not enjoy sitting in the shovel... not one little bit!

Olympic Fun!

I thought it was so fun when Jon texted me a picture of Lucy wearing her Olympic shirt.  Kate happened to be wearing hers as well.  Then I thought, we should all post our Olympic gear pictures... especially since all the Bacon cousins have the same shirts.  So Jon and Suzanne (a newly minted American as of yesterday), post your pics.  Show your Canadian Olympic Spirit!!!
