A Driving Date

When Ken asked where I wanted to go on our date and I said Ajax, he was a little surprised. We drove out to Ajax and had a beautiful walk by the water. Then we enjoyed a yummy dinner at The Villa - a Japanese restaurant. We drove home and we talked a lot. Change is in the air I think. Lots of changes. Big changes.

The Art Wall

I'm not sure when I last took pictures of the art wall? I'm not sure if I've ever blogged about the art wall? But here goes - more I'm not sures... I'm not sure when or how it started, but man oh man does the art wall ever make me happy! It makes the room look so cheerful and it just feels like my home with a crazy art wall. And the girls love it!

Birthday Fun #3

Andrew is such an awesome brother. He knew Ken was starting his new job and asked if I wanted him to come up and bring dinner. He stopped at my new favourite pizza place - Cappuccino Bakery in Nobleton. SO GOOD! And visiting with Uncle Andrew is always a crowd favourite. Thanks for making my birthday awesome! Love you brother.

Birthday Fun #2

Ken starts his new job tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!! (He'll be working doing the same thing he's been doing, now for his friend Adrian who started a company called Master Solve. The job is in Whitby - eek!) His first day of his new job is the same day as my birthday, boo. But really, what can you do?! Ken made me a Peppa Pig cake and we celebrated as a family today, one day early. I love feeling loved! And I LOVED my cake - so cute, and delicious.

Harvey!

It was supposed to be the weekend that we had Hunter, but Hunter died - he was the sweetest hamster ever! I was so sad, sad for Alice, sad for the class, I didn't realize however that Hunter would be replaced so quickly! In his place, Harvey. We brought Harvey home for the weekend and we had a lot of fun!

Birthday Celebration #1

A pool party at Grandma and Grandpa's complete with ICE CREAM CAKE!!! The girls love swimming so much, and I like it most of the time! We had a fun swim, and then lunch and then cake. Good times!

Just a Friday

It's the little things isn't it? Watching Ken make pizza with Fiona - she's (sort of) big enough to help. He's so patient!

And the big things - like the enormous chunk of tarmac that Alice brought home with her from school!

Grandma Turns 70

Seventy! It is old and it isn't. It was the age of my grandparents, and now it is my parents and they are the grandparents. It's funny that I'm still surprised by the circle of life! We had a lovely time at the Keg - as we always do. Such good food!! Happy Birthday Mom/Grandma!

Conference Weekend

What better way to start conference weekend than with a trip to Hockley? We love having breakfast at the Hockley Valley General Store. We followed it up with a trip to the park, even though the park was a bit soggy.

Now to be enriched, edified, and let the kids eat to much candy while they play conference bingo!
