A trip up to Tottenham to visit with Michelle, Marisol and Amelie is an important part of a school break. The girls - whenever they talk about Tottenham, always agree that the thing they miss the most is the Tokarev Family. We were very late leaving, no one wanted to move, but the timing worked out perfectly as we were able to pick up Michelle and the girls as they were walking back from the grocery store.
The girls played, and played and played, and then they watched a movie. Michelle and I talked and talked and talked. It was great. It's always so great to have the time to go visit with friends.
Wednesday
This was supposed to be a Mom and Me Camp reunion and it was supposed to be in Brampton which is about an hour away. There was a mix-up and they couldn't get the building so they decided to have it in Orangeville instead which is an hour and a half away. After driving to Tottenham on Tuesday, I just wasn't up for the drive to Orangeville, so I never told the girls about it, and we just had a quiet day at home. I need to remember to plan quiet days too.
Thursday
NICOLE!!! Nicole emailed me a while back and told me that she would be coming to Toronto to visit her Mom over Christmas with Mattias and that we needed to get together. She wanted to see the new house so they came over to Ajax which was great. Her Mom had hip surgery in the fall and so walking to the lake was out of the question, but we did have a nice visit and Mattias and Kate played really well together like they always do! It's always so fun when Nicole comes to visit.
Ken's taking the day tomorrow, then it's into birthday mode for Kate. We've had a really lovely Christmas visiting with family and friends, just what it's supposed to be!
