Sometimes there are kisses...

... and sometimes there are scratches.  (Doesn't it just look awful?)  Tonight's family home evening lesson was about how we show love for our family members.  I'm sure we'll be repeating this lesson many, many times in the years to come.

P.S.  While looking terrible, the wound is actually very superficial and isn't causing Miss Alice any concern.
