Party Day Arrived!

Alice really was mostly patient and understanding.  At first we had scheduled her party for the 20th of February.  We were clear of lice by the 20th, but we hadn't had time to tidy or shop.  We weren't ready for a party, so we bumped it a week intending to party on the 27th.  Then there was the barfing, all week. Alice was pretty much fine on the Saturday, but how were we to know that, and Ken and I still weren't 100%, so this time we bumped it two weeks.  Alice was very excited this last week, and I suppose in her excitement had an "interesting" week behaviorally, but hey, no one's perfect!

She wanted a Hello Kitty birthday party and for the few weeks preceding the party decided that pink was her favourite colour.  I should ask her now that the party is over what her favourite colour is.  The girls each have their "own" colour, so this did cause some issues!

Almost everyone that was originally invited was able to come.  Alice was so happy.  She had written and re-written an agenda.  When the friends arrived they were to snack, then they would play some games, do the pinata, eat lunch, cake, open presents.  We pretty much did everything, but not exactly as planned!

There were snacks, and there was lunch.  I think more snacks were eaten than actual lunch, but everyone ate lots!

After lunch it was pinata time!  Everyone had a few whacks.  Even Fiona, but sadly her one tiny whack followed by a few a tears were not caught on film.  Fiona is not a performer!  At least, not when there's a crowd!

After the pinata we had cake.  Ken made a yummy white cake and did a cute job decorating.  Everyone loved it.  Kate really loved it!  There was only one piece left, and the piece didn't even last the afternoon!

Then presents.  I was able to take a picture with each friend and the present.  Lucienne gave Alice a puppy vet set.  Alice loved it!

Emily and Annabelle gave Alice shopkins and Alice loved it!

Amelie and Marisol gave Alice a My Little Pony playdough set, and she loved it!
Juliette gave Alice a puppy kennel with a puppy inside.  Alice loved it.

Alice got her present from Lauren, Holden and Hazel two weeks ago.  It was a copy of Alice in Wonderland in picture book form.  She loved it!
She really did love everything! Just before Lauren left she was able to pin the bow on Hello Kitty. We kind of forgot/didn't have time to play, but snuck in a couple of rounds before our last guests left. Which thankfully was good enough for Alice!

Fiona was very excited to eat her candy from the pinata!
And after taking seven tongue sticking out pictures...
...Alice finally smiled!
And there was pink Hello Kitty happiness in all the land!!!
