The Clarks

I haven't seen the Clarks since they left Ontario - which was a long time ago - I think when I was 15ish?  Not sure exactly.  I remember finding them on Facebook - it was a golden fun find, and I remember telling Mom, and showing her pictures.  I think that was one of the many reasons she signed up.  I was telling Julie she should come this summer that we should get our kids together.

Okay, back up.  Rob Clark is married to Linda Clark.  He was the best man at Mom and Dad's wedding.  We always called them Uncle Rob and Auntie Linda.  They have four kids - just slightly younger than us.  Well, Julie is the same age as Suzanne, Carrie a year younger, and then Cheryl and Rob Jr. are younger still?  Not sure everyone's age. Fast forward, Julie lives in Florida with her parents and her three boys (her husband is currently working at a hospital in Iowa), Carrie in Maryland with her husband and four kids, Cheryl in Virginia with her husband and two boys, and I think Rob Jr. is in California, but not sure.

Julie, her boys, her parents, and Carrie and her kids came up together.  They stayed in Niagara for a few days, and then in Unionville and then at a cottage near Owen Sound.  My Mom and Dad got to spend a few days with Rob and Linda and I think they really enjoyed their visits.  Julie, Carrie, all the kids and Rob and Linda, and my Mom and Dad all came up to our house today.  The kids had a blast playing in the basement with all of the toys.  The boy cousins all played together, and Kate latched onto Lindy - Carrie's little girl who's just a few months older.

It was fun seeing each other.  It was a bit crazy making sure all the kids were okay, but we did get some chatting in.  And then just like that it was off to the next visit - a cousin in Thornton.  I'm not sure when we'll see each other in person again, but I am so thankful for the technology that we have today that allows us to maintain connections of friendship with so many people across the world.
