Sunday May 31st
I can and can't believe that May is over. I can and can't believe that tomorrow is June. I'm so ready for this school year to be over. June 26th can't come fast enough!
After home church (and zoom church) Ken, Fiona and I went on the best bike ride! Fiona is such a little machine! We rode our bikes along the path the goes to the school and then we followed the path past the school all the way to Harwood. Then we rode across Empress to Pickering Beach and back home.
We rode past Carruther's Creek. Fiona wanted to see the blossoms again - but I wasn't thinking because they're all gone! Fiona was quite disappointed! I made a side by side of her on the same rock from when we went to see the blossoms a couple of weeks ago.
Monday, June 1
Last night when we were putting the girls to bed I did some investigating. Heidi - our friend and neighbour had been posting spirit weeks over the weekend for the upcoming week. Last week was week ten. I hadn't seen Heidi post anything all weekend, so last night I went looking and found a post explaining that she was done, her kids were done, she was grateful for the participation and joy that had been brought to everyone during such a hard time, but she was done. When I told the girls they were decidedly not done. So last night we came up with ideas and then I sat down and made our schedule for the week - they wanted me to make the same kind of chart as Heidi, so I did.
This week one of Fiona's assignments was an art assignment. She was so, so, so excited to have an art assignment. She and Ken picked wild flowers from the backyard. And this was her beautiful creation!
Unicorn Day! Alice and Fiona made cute pipe cleaner unicorn horns, and they got our all of Kate's unicorn beanie boos.
Tuesday, June 2
Fiona and Alice wanted to be matching, well kind of matching with their florals. They also wanted to make cookies and make art, so they did. I didn't get a shot of all three girls together, but they all had their picture taken with flowers!
And the end of the day round the block walk.
Wednesday, June 3
Twinning Day. The girls thought I was silly calling it twinning day when their are three of them. I still love it when they dress alike. Though it rarely ever happens now!
After the pictures they had a water fight. It was super cute!
Thursday, June 4th
Fiona's birthday is coming soon. We probably should have started the pinata sooner - oops. It will get one coat of paint, which is really okay, because we're just going to smash it to bits anyway! I'm sad this is the only picture that we took of Alice, Fiona and I making the pinata. I didn't realize until it was too late that you couldn't see their faces!
It was camp out day today so we roasted marshmallows again! YUM!Then Fiona, Alice and I went for a bike ride. We copied the ride that Fiona, Ken and I had done on Sunday. Alice was quite reluctant, but we did it.
The sadness of no mail! It's been fun writing letters.
Friday, June 5th
Colour Day. Pink, blue, pink.
Fiona wanted to take another picture will ALL the pink! And today we painted the pinata pink! It's not great, but it will do!
Saturday, June 6th
FIONA DAY!!!! Fiona day got it's own post, so there it is, another week done!
