Fiona day started with a sleepy cuddle because she was actually awake this morning before I left!
When we asked Fiona what she wanted for her birthday dinner so asked for
McDonald's. So McDonald's it was. We went to the one at Brock St in
Whitby. The girls love the play place there. Grandma and Grandpa even
came to meet us.
After a fun dinner we went home, had cupcakes and Fiona answered the birthday questions.
We love our cute, feisty Fiona. I can't imagine our family without her! Happy 4th birthday big girl!

I went shopping at lunch today and then when I got home I thought, whatever, here you go Fiona, here are your presents! Her presents from her Mom and Dad were a Doc McStuffins doctor bag kit and Cinderella Duplo. She was very excited, and the cute pics means that this needs a blog post all its own!

Princess Power Party
Fiona. Oh dear. She has been planning her party for months, what with sisters having birthdays in January and February. She's changed ideas a few times, which wasn't annoying until three weeks ago. Three weeks ago she only wanted Melanee from church to come to her party. She loves Melanee and Melanee loves her. Melanee is seven, but such a cutie. Well, when it was getting to be time to start planning and it was time to go over Fiona's guest list again, and make firm plans, Fiona decided that she wanted Melanee and her family. This sounded so cute and perfect, and I started making plans with Melanee's Mom. We picked a date, and I told her the invitation would be forth coming.
Fast forward one day. Fiona and I are sitting down to make the invitations and her guest list no longer included Melanee or her siblings. She wanted her sisters and two friends, Katelyn from Edukids and Scarlett our neighbour. I told her that I'd already started making plans with Melanee's Mom, but Fiona would have none of it. I reached out to Melanee's Mom Debbie, and Debbie assured me it was no big deal. She proceeded to tell me the details of Liam's fourth birthday and his ever changing plans, and really, it was okay. Thank goodness for an understanding Mama and her kids!
Fiona wanted a Princess Power Party, we went with the June 3rd date, and both Katelyn and Scarlett were able to come. Fiona was very excited, and very particular about what she wanted to do. We bought cute princess decorations, a castle pinata, and we planned to place freeze dance, and some other fun games that Fiona wanted to play.
We had our first "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to" moment when we tried to play musical chairs. Alice got Fiona out immediately - first round, and that was not okay for Fiona!
The freeze dance was fun, if a little long, and not quite enough of the freezing part, and we put an end to musical chairs pretty much when it started, but we calmed down and took some cute pictures.
Then it was pinata time! Someday we'll get tired of pinatas. Today is not that day!
After the pinata, Ken went to get the pizza and Fiona had some alone time with her friends playing in her room. (I didn't take any pictures of that.) Then it was lunch.
After lunch Kate read the Superhero Code Vs. the Princess Rules.
Then CUPCAKES!
Then it was all over. After her friends left she opened the presents she was given. She was really excited about her presents.
She really had a great party. It was exactly what she wanted! We love you Fiona. Happy birthday party day!
